Starting at the intersection of US-31 and M-66 and finishing near Park Avenue in downtown Charlevoix, the Ryan Shay Mile is an all-out run that features top male and female runners, by invitation only, and offers prizes as high as $1,000 for first place in both the Men’s & Women’s leagues.
The event, going on its sixth year in 2025, is in memorial of Shay, a Central Lake High School alumnus and Olympic prospect who died in 2007 while completing a race.
